This was not the first time Ellie cut her own hair (you’d think I would have learned my lesson), but it was the first time the cut was extreme enough to send her to the professionals.
This is all the hair I found. I can’t imagine where the rest of it is hiding.
The result:
Luckily the end result is very cute. I knew she needed a haircut, so this was the perfect excuse.
This is the face I usually get when I pull out the camera:
Then we got a game of peek-a-boo going, so I captured this:
Ellie loves her new hairdo. Maybe now she will stay away from the scissors.
Ellie is our little performer. She thinks she is a ballerina. This was taken on the morning of her birthday. She was practicing her moves on the driveway.
I heard a boom in the middle of the night and then a little whimpering. I figured Ellie fell out of her bed, but though she would get back in. This is where we found her this morning.
We took off a few weeks ago for a quick family adventure in the camper. Actually, it was a little more than a family adventure. We had 4 adults, 2 kids, and 1 big yellow dog in that thing. We spent two nights in Moab. The first one didn’t go so well, but luckily the second night was much better. Here are a few photos from our trip.
I love Jack’s crazy, curly locks, but his hair was getting just a bit too long. Strangers were already mistaking him for a girl. I didn’t want it to get to the point where he was mistaken for Celine Dion’s son. His dad didn’t think he needed a haircut. This is what I did to prove that he did. Sorry, little buddy.
I have mentioned before that Jack wants to do what Ellie does. Using the potty is no exception. He has been successful on a few occasions, but not consistent yet. That’s OK. He’s not even 18 months old yet!
